Today I made some pumpkin raisin muffins. The recipe was written so you could make a loaf, but I wanted to share little muffins with my friends. These make a great snack too! They were so easy to make. This would be a good recipe for beginners in the kitchen. They don't take very long to cool off. They don't even have to be in the oven very long! It only takes about 13 min (if you're making muffins). It will tell you how long to bake it for if you want to make a loaf. If you are making a loaf, then it will take longer in the oven of course. I really hope you enjoy making fun snacks like this!

I got this recipe off of a website called  Chop Chop. It has good ideas for kids that are beginners in the kitchen. Enjoy!

Corn and basil frittata

I talked about yesterday that I made a recipe from this magazine called Chop Chop that you should really try looking into because it is so fun for kids.

I had tried two recipes from that cookbook and the other one is called Corn and Basil Frittata. It is so easy and taste quite good! You do not even need to make a crust for it! It just stands up when you take it out of the pan.

If you did not know what a frittata is then I will tell you that it is an egg dish. It will look sort of weird when you put it in the oven, but it comes out great!

I could not find the exact recipe, but it was really just a frittata just with corn and basil.

fruit cup

Sorry that it has been a long time since I have written in my blog. I will be writing about two things that I found in this magazine called Chop Chop.

The first recipe I will be telling you about will be Fourth Of July Parfait. It has fruit and a oatmeal in the middle. It can be good for breakfast or a snack!

I had never tried steel cut oats before so it was fun! The oatmeal is sort of creamy  because you can put yogurt or a type of milk in it. I had forgotten to put the yogurt on the shopping list so we just used soymilk. It still tasted great with everything together! You should really try it out!

Marbled Bananna Bread

This time I made a bread called Marbled Banana Bread! It was so good! You should really try it! What I learned from this experience is that if you want the bread to look pretty then you should use less cocoa powder. This makes the banana mixture show more! This recipe taste good even with the amount of cocoa powder it tells you to use. This recipe came from a recipe book called Isa Does It! Here is a link that lets you buy the book! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_5?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=isa+does+it&sprefix=Isa+d%2Caps%2C248

New Years Pancakes!

Today I made pancakes! My new years resolution was to learn more foods and make them on my own and write about in in a blog. Here is the recipe for the pancakes I made. They are from a cookbook called “Vegan Brunch” by Isa Chandra Moscowitz. If your batter is runny, just add a little more flour. I hope that these pancakes will be yummy! It was fun to flip the pancakes. I might want to do some different sorts of pancakes later on too. Some others could be chocolate pancakes or banana pancakes. We didn't make the sauce in this video but maybe we will next time. Check back later to see what I make next!
